We met in the summer of 2021 through the American Leadership Forum of Oregon as part of a leadership cohort. We became fast friends. We also learned that in 1998, we lived two blocks away from each other in Ashland, OR ((bonkers)) and that Kelly’s Dad lives in Sarah’s home town of Paso Robles, CA ((what are the chances?))

A year later the cohort ended. Sarah was falling for Kelly’s quirky charm, witty banter and hot body. Faced with the thought of not seeing Kelly again, Sarah panic flirted and kicked off a series of awkward interactions that led to a long distance romance and lots of silly fun.

In March of 2023, desperate for Sarah’s undivided attention and cooking, Kelly invited Sarah to move to Southern Oregon and live with her. ((I mean, really… what did Kelly even eat before Sarah arrived?))

For over four years we’ve traveled together, planned together, parented together, camped together, dealt with loss together, renovated a kitchen together, and kissed and laughed more than we ever thought possible.

In June of 2026 during our fourth anniversary camping trip to Cape Blanco, Kelly decided she’d had enough of living in sin and asked Sarah to be her wife. Sarah was a BIG yes.

Now, dear ones, we’re asking you to block off four days of your life to travel to Southern Oregon and celebrate with us. Because this is going to be a party you won’t want to miss!
